International Architect and Working Mother

Parents and students at the Senior School graduation ceremony held on 23 May 2013 were very impressed with the career development of Gabrielle Ho, a 1998 graduate who was guest of honour on the occasion. In her open, direct and sincere narrative, Gabi conveyed a strong message that as long as one makes good use of opportunities available, one will be successful and happy in life even without a fixed plan. She drew from her personal experience of learning from the rich multi-cultural undergraduate campus life in Berkeley; internship as an architecture student in Japan known for its strong national culture; an intellectually fulfilling post-graduate degree in Yale; and exposure to international practical experience in a world renowned firm in London and now a busy working mother taking care of two young children in Hong Kong. In her own words, she is grateful for the opportunities that have come her way as a result of hard-work and determination.

The college is very grateful for her support at this prestigious event.
